Renovation of the the road in northern Lebanon [VIDEO]

We renovated the Qobayat-Hermel road in northern Lebanon, which was damaged in a fire. Before the renovation, the roadway was only 1.5 meters wide in many places, making it impossible for vehicles to pass each other and posing a deadly threat to drivers.

This is particularly concerning as it is the main route connecting the Akkar province with the Bekaa province. Thanks to funding from the Polish Aid program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the road will not only be repaired but also illuminated and marked.

In 2024, the Polish Center for International Aid received funding under the MFA Polish Aid programme, which will enable PCPM to assist the Lebanese people for the next 3 years.

The aim of the project is to strengthen local communities in Lebanon that have been affected by the economic crisis and the worsening Lebanese-Israeli crisis.
