Medicine, refugees and civil protection conference on pictures – [GALLERY]

We finished MRCP – Medicine, Refugees and Civil Protection – an international expert conference organized by the Polish Center for International Aid. More than 150 delegates and participants from Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, Ukraine, Poland, Norway, Spain, Canada, European Union institutions, United Nations agencies, and Polish NGOs, as well as representatives of the administration, discussed and exchanged thoughts for two days.

Experts exchanged experiences of responding to crises in war-torn countries like Ukraine, after natural disasters like the recent flood in Spain, but also the Fukushima disaster. They discussed how to organize assistance in cases of mass refugee crises, based, among other things, on Polish experience with the creation of a Transit Center for refugees, at the East railway station in Warsaw.
