The Polish Centre for International Aid (PCPM) provides humanitarian aid in Syria, focusing on safeguarding the health and lives of people affected by the long-standing conflict. As part of a project supported by the Polish Aid programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, we are providing specific medical aid and medicines, particularly for patients with chronic conditions and kidney failure, so that they can continue their treatment despite the difficult conditions in the country.

Thanks to funding from the Polska Pomoc programme in 2026, the PCPM Foundation can improve access to primary healthcare and emergency medical care in the Damascus and Rif Dimashq regions.

The project aims to provide the most vulnerable people with access to life-saving medical care by supporting healthcare facilities with equipment and supplies, as well as by retaining qualified medical staff.

Access to essential consultations, treatment, rehabilitation and assistive equipment will be improved for men and women, as well as girls and boys. People with disabilities and those requiring rehabilitation will have a better chance of recovery. Patients in emergency situations will also benefit from improved diagnosis and treatment. At the same time, continuity of care will be enhanced by securing the employment of doctors, physiotherapists and other medical staff.
