Humanitarian Aid from Poland reached Lebanon
Another aid shipment from Poland has arrived in Lebanon! The Polish Center for International Aid delivered more than 700 kg of in-kind assistance – mattresses, blankets, and pillows – which will be distributed to people living in collective shelters.
Since March, as many as 1.2 million people have been forced to flee their homes due to the war. In recent days, evacuation orders aimed at relocating the remaining civilian population from southern Lebanon have intensified significantly, particularly in and around the cities of Tyre and Nabatieh. Israel has increased military pressure on areas north of the Litani River and the southern part of Nabatieh. At the same time, airstrikes have also expanded into Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, indicating a widening scope of operations.
This assistance would not have been possible without the support of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In addition to essential items for refugees’ daily needs, which arrived today and will soon reach those in need, PCPM is also providing aid in southern Lebanon, the Akkar Governorate region, and in Tripoli. We are ensuring continuity in food assistance for hundreds of Lebanese people, solely thanks to donors supporting the fundraising campaign at pcpm.org.pl/donate.

Over One Million Displaced People
The humanitarian crisis in Lebanon is now defined primarily by a country overwhelmed by mass, desperate population movements and paralyzing fear caused by intensifying attacks. The scale of this tragedy is best reflected in the fact that more than one million people have been forced to leave their homes.
The landscape of southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley has changed dramatically under the impact of intense bombardment. In just five days (May 23-27), the country experienced an unprecedented escalation, with at least 369 airstrikes.

The severity of the situation is compounded by the fact that attacks are targeting not only military facilities but also areas in the immediate vicinity of hospitals, as well as rescue teams attempting to assist the wounded. The country also faces the looming threat of an ecological and humanitarian disaster due to attacks near the Qaraoun Dam.
Nearly 128,000 people are staying in 631 collective accommodation facilities. The situation in northern regions such as Akkar and Tripoli is critical – dozens of locations are already full and unable to accommodate even one more family. Israeli evacuation orders, now affecting around 110 localities (including densely populated Tyre and refugee camps), are pushing hundreds of thousands of people northward toward Sidon.

Amid the humanitarian crisis, strong social tensions continue to simmer. Lebanon remains deeply politically polarized, and the streets of cities such as Sidon and Tripoli are increasingly becoming scenes of protests and road blockades.
PCPM Has Been Providing Aid Since 2012
We have been supporting Lebanon for many years, both by developing infrastructure and providing humanitarian assistance to a country repeatedly affected by multiple crises. When the latest wave of bombings began, support from donors enabled us to immediately assist those most in need.
Our team is on the ground and provides aid every day — serving meals and distributing food in the north of the country. To respond quickly and flexibly, we purchase as much as possible locally. In this way, we not only provide immediate assistance but also meaningfully support Lebanese communities.
