Protection Manager (Profile: Protection Mainstreaming)

PCPM HQ – Warsaw (Polish speakers only)

The Polish Center for International Aid Foundation is looking for a Protection Manager to join the team implementing refugees supporting projects in Poland.

Key responsibilities:

● Building and developing the Protection strategy of and Protection department at the PCPM head office in Poland, including the development of activities in the area of protection in Poland and supporting PCPM missions abroad,

● Ensuring protection mainstreaming in all humanitarian and refugee-centered programs of the PCPM in Poland, ensuring a do no harm approach,

● Develop necessary tools, forms, technical guides, including the development of standard operations procedures (SOPs) and training materials for PCPM protection-related activities,

● Guide the protection team to ensure quality according to technical guides, SOPs and PCPM standards,

● Supervising, on the job coaching and training of field teams in protection-related skills, including risk assessment activities, supporting refugees at risk, advising and providing assistance,

● Coordination of the service mapping for refugees staying in Poland and refugees / migrants in the border zones,

● Coordination and management of the referral mechanism to specialized organizations,

● Supporting PCPM management in advocacy vis-a-vis central and regional authorities and other institutional stakeholders, developing inputs to government policies, among others migration policy,

● Advising PCPM management and implementing agreed-upon PCPM advocacy and protection strategy in respect to refugee and migrant issues in Poland,

● Contribution to narrative and programmatic reports,

● Supporting PCPM fundraising activities in the area of protection.

Our requirements:

● At least 3-5 years of professional experience in social work, refugee protection and working with vulnerable individuals or communities,

● A degree in a relevant field such as social work, social sciences, gender studies, human rights, psychology, law or other related field,

● Knowledge of protection, inclusion, and referral mechanisms,

● MS Office Skills (the most preferable in Excel),

● Proficiency in using online tools (Google Workspace and others),

● Fluent communication in Ukrainian/Russian language is an advantage,

● Experience from field / protection work in other humanitarian setting is an advantage

● Fluent knowledge of Polish and English in speaking and writing,

● Experience in working with international organizations preferred humanitarian and/or UN agencies.

What we offer:

● Service contract (umowa zlecenie), start of work on July 2024,
● On site work from the office in Warsaw (Ursynów) (hybrid work is also allowed),

● Monthly net salary between PLN 7,000 and PLN 8,500, depending on experience.
