Equality versus equity. How complementary approaches are required to support vulnerable Ukrainian refugees

Equality versus equity is a joint paper prepared by a team of NRC and PCPM experts exploring the social assistance extended to refugees from Ukraine who arrived in Poland since the escalation of the war in February 2022.

Refugee reception and transit centre in Warsaw

The Polish Center of International Aid (PCPM) together with The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) along with the city of Warsaw have launched a refugee reception center for civilians fleeing the war in neighboring Ukraine. The facility is located in the immediate vicinity of Warsaw East Railway Station (Warszawa Wschodnia).

Cash program for basic needs for Ukrainian refugees in Poland

The Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) rolls out a pilot of the Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance program for an initial group of 7,000 Ukrainian refugee families in Poland. PCPM assisted in evacuation of over 3000 Ukrainians from Khakriv and supplies Ukraine with humanitarian aid and medicines.
