It’s ecological and safer in Lebanon thanks to solar lanterns

Thanks to the support of Polish aid, the PCPM Foundation was able to illuminate one of the main arteries in the Akkar district in Lebanon. The road connects the places where Poles help Syrian refugees. Almost 100 solar lamps installed there will improve road safety and reduce air pollution caused by exhaust fumes from power generators.

10 years of destruction and bloodshed. Anniversary of the Syrian Civil War

From March 15, 2011, until today, in front of our eyes, over half a million people in one country have died and 13 million have lost their family homes. 40% of Syria is razed to the ground, and the material damage is greater than in Poland after World War II. The drama of millions of people cannot be expressed in words - the armed conflict has affected absolutely every family in Syria, a country where the bloodiest war of this century is taking place.

Polish aid for refugees. PCPM ships modular homes to Syria and Greece

The PCPM Foundation will take care of the safety of hundreds of families in the Syrian province of Idlib, where a huge humanitarian crisis occurs, and on the Greek islands where people fleeing Syria are camping. More than 650 special modular homes are ready for transportation.

Thanks to the Poles, PCPM bought houses for Syrian families

Thanks to the nationwide fund-raising campaign and huge media support, we have drawn attention to the dramatic situation of Syrian families, and we collected funds to buy 52 houses! After crossing 3.5 thousand kilometers, they will reach the most needy families in northwestern Syria, where the biggest humanitarian crisis of this century takes place.

PCPM trains local authorities in Iraqi Kurdistan

Nowadays in Kurdistan we can observe a strong attitude of “teach a man to fish” regarding local citizens. After defeating the so-called Islamic State, it is finally possible. The situation in Northern Iraq is stabilizing. However, the process of achieving fully independence is not easy, due to the negative impact of financial crisis in 2014, provoked by low oil prices and investment outflow. PCPM actions support local governmental institutions in raising funds for the most important tasks.

Syrians need help to survive winter

Lack of fundings to help Syrians survive winter (the support for winter has been cut by 75%, comparing to last year) can lead to tragedy that has already occured in the past years, while people froze to death in Lebanese mountains.
