Poland Emergency Medical Team PCPM recruiting!

Out of nearly a hundred applications from medics of various specialties, nearly forty qualified for the field recruitment stage of the Poland Emergency Medical Team PCPM and tested their skills in simulated but difficult actions. For many hours the recruits tested their skills, resistance to stress, speed of decision-making, creative thinking and teamwork skills, but most of all they verified their medical knowledge in simulated rescue operations.

The response to COVID-19 in Tajikistan is WHO/Europe’s largest emergency operation in the European Region to date. At the Government’s invitation, a WHO mission arrived on the ground in May.

EMT PCPM supporting Ethiopia’s COVID-19 response efforts

The Poland Emergency Medical Team PCPM (EMT PCPM) is deployed in the framework of the WHO Emergency Teams Initiative, at the invitation of the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. The team arrived in Addis on September 22d and will stay until October 18th, currently supporting the operations of the Millennium COVID Care Centre.

Poland Emergency Medical Team PCPM was deployed at the invitation from the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia and funded by the Government of Poland. Members of the team are world-class specialists, operating under WHO network.

PCPM provides specific help in Poland

We share our knowledge and equipment. We support those who have been fighting for our health and life in Poland for weeks. The medical staff can participate in our psychological and diabetes consultations. We don’t ignore people who found themselves in the most difficult situation during pandemic. So, our next action is – masks! We inform, sew, distribute! Our support is directed to home hospices and homeless people who will ask for it.

Polscy medycy pod egidą WHO zmierzą się z koronawirusem w Kirgistanie

Zespół ośmiu lekarzy, pielęgniarzy i ratowników medycznych z Medycznego Zespołu Ratunkowego PCPM odpowiada na apel Światowej Organizacji Zdrowia i wesprze szpitale w Kirgistanie. 10-dniowa misja obejmie szkolenie personelu w kirgiskich szpitalach, uwzględniające zarówno wytyczne WHO, jak i doświadczenia części zespołu z niedawnej misji medycznej we włoskiej Lombardii.

Dzielimy się wiedzą i sprzętem. Wspieramy tych, którzy od tygodni walczą o nasze zdrowie i życie w Polsce. Zapewniamy konsultacje psychologiczne i diabetologiczne dla medycznego personelu. Nie odwracamy wzroku od ludzi, którzy w dobie pandemii są w najtrudniejszej sytuacji - stąd nasze kolejne działania: maski! Informujemy, szyjemy, przekazujemy. Nasze wsparcie trafi do hospicjów domowych, osób bezdomnych, którzy o tę pomoc się zwrócą.
